I’m not sure why people are so surprised by this. The B6 and B7 looked almost identical.

But they are identical!
Mind you I can just about distinguish the B7 and B8 Passats.

WOW.... B6 looks nothing like the b7... I would have let you slide if you said the b5 and b6 looked similar...

Not really, B6 didn’t have the massive front grille like the B7 and on. Lights, both front and back, are totally different shapes

Yeah I actually looked at comparison pictures after posting this and they’re more different than B8/B9 (are they calling it B9? I would assume)

See, B5 looks totally different to me. Maybe we just focus on different parts of the design.
